Job Description:

This Senior Resident Job is a full-time, on-site position at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Kochi. The selected doctor will provide clinical care under senior consultant supervision, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing management. Responsibilities also extend to ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient care, investigations, multidisciplinary coordination, medical documentation, teaching, clinical audits, research and quality and patient-safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients under senior consultant supervision.
  • Develop and support appropriate patient treatment plans.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient cases.
  • Order and interpret relevant clinical investigations.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  • Follow institutional clinical protocols and standards.
  • Teach junior residents and medical students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities.
  • Contribute to clinical audits and research projects.
  • Support quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Participate in emergency, shift and on-call duties as required.

Eligibility Criteria for this Senior Resident Job:

  • Candidates applying for this Senior Resident Job should possess:

    • A recognized MBBS degree
    • Completed MD/MS or equivalent postgraduate training in the relevant specialty
    • Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council
    • Eligibility to practice medicine in India
