Job Overview
Spandana Hospital is seeking a dedicated Cathlab Technician for our Bangalore location. This full-time, mid-level position requires 4 to 6 years of experience. The Cathlab Technician will be responsible for performing cardiac catheterizations and ensuring patient care during procedures, among other key responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in cardiac catheterization. (Mandatory skill)
- Strong ability to provide excellent patient care. (Mandatory skill)
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including X-rays and fluoroscopy.
- Experience in operating room procedures, especially in a cardiac catheterization environment.
- Competence in maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment.
- Preparedness to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
- Thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Excellent team collaboration skills to coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, and other staff members.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and functioning.
- Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after the procedure.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to capture real-time images of the cardiovascular system.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Ensure the sterility and cleanliness of the operating environment in the Cath Lab.
- Maintain and calibrate medical equipment to ensure optimal operation during procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care.
