Job Description:
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Addl. Prof. Akhilesh Sharma, in the Department of Psychiatry. The consultant will be responsible for providing specialist audio/video consultations and will support clinical, research, and academic responsibilities. They will also supervise mental health professionals and assist users of the Tele MANAS service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior consultants in their functions.
- Provide specialist audio/video consultations.
- Support clinical, research, and academic responsibilities.
- Supervise mental health professionals and lay counsellors.
- Assist persons with mental illness and other users of Tele MANAS.
- Develop curated modules and manuals for service delivery.
- Participate in scientific research in tele-mental health.
Eligibility Criteria for Telemedicine Consultant Job:
- Essential: A postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry (e.g., MD or DNB/Diploma).
- Desirable: Clinical and/or research experience in telemedicine or tele-training.
- Experience of working with multidisciplinary research teams.
- Indexed scientific publications.
Required Skills for Telemedicine Consultant Job:
- Strong communication skills for audio/video consultations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Research skills in tele-mental health.
- Experience in developing training materials and manuals.
Salary:
The consolidated salary for the position will be ₹1,00,000 per month. This is a contract position initially valid for 6 months, with the potential for a 6-month extension.
