TMC Careers—Essential Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
1. Diploma Route
- DMLT / Diploma in Transfusion Medicine / Blood Bank Technology after 10+2
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in testing blood and/or components in a licensed blood center.
2. Degree Route
- B.Sc. MLT or Degree in Blood Bank Technology
- Experience: Minimum 6 months in a licensed blood center.
- B.Sc. in Hematology & Transfusion Medicine
- Experience: Minimum 6 months in blood/component testing.
3. Postgraduate Route
- M.Sc. in Transfusion Medicine, OR P.G.D. in MLT
- Experience: Minimum 6 months in blood/component testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of blood and blood components in compliance with licensing regulations.
- Maintain accuracy, documentation, and quality control within the Transfusion Medicine department.
- Support daily operations of the blood centre including sample processing.
- Work in rotational shifts including nights, Sundays, and holidays.
- Assist in maintaining inventory, equipment, and adherence to SOPs.
