TMC Careers: Qualifications

  • Essential: MD in Palliative Medicine OR MD in Anaesthesiology
  • Registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council is mandatory
  • Experience in palliative care or oncology preferred

Role Overview

The senior resident will provide expert palliative care services to patients, supporting symptom management, quality-of-life improvement, and multidisciplinary coordination. The role focuses on patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and contribution to departmental objectives in a tertiary cancer care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultations
  • Manage pain, symptoms, and end-of-life care for cancer patients
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and allied health staff for comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols
  • Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support the training of junior staff and contribute to palliative care awareness programs
