TMC Careers: Qualifications
- Essential: MD in Palliative Medicine OR MD in Anaesthesiology
- Registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council is mandatory
- Experience in palliative care or oncology preferred
Role Overview
The senior resident will provide expert palliative care services to patients, supporting symptom management, quality-of-life improvement, and multidisciplinary coordination. The role focuses on patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and contribution to departmental objectives in a tertiary cancer care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultations
- Manage pain, symptoms, and end-of-life care for cancer patients
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and allied health staff for comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Support the training of junior staff and contribute to palliative care awareness programs
