Job Description
This scientific writer job focuses on creating specialized medical and scientific content with limited supervision while supporting the end-to-end publication and medical education content development process. Responsibilities include documentation and approval in PromoMats/iEnvision (previously Datavision/MATRIX), developing and maintaining therapeutic area expertise, working closely with peers to establish best practices, and collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders. The role plays a critical part in strengthening Sanofi’s medical communication strategy and offers strong growth within a global Sanofi career pathway.
Scientific Writer Job – Key Responsibilities
People Responsibilities
- Maintain effective relationships with end stakeholders within the allocated Global Business Unit and product to develop education and communication content as per requirement
- Interact effectively with healthcare professionals on publication content
- Constantly assist other writers in developing knowledge and sharing expertise
Performance Responsibilities
- Provide publication and medical education materials such as slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts as per agreed timelines and quality
- Provide strategic support with individuals and institutions that may serve as resources for publication purposes
Process Responsibilities
- Develop complex publication and medical education material
- Support medical communication and develop subject matter expertise for the assigned therapeutic area
- Assist the scientific communication team in conducting a comprehensive publication-need analysis
- Implement relevant elements of the publication plan and associated activities for the year identified for the region
- Work with selected vendors within the region to deliver required deliverables as per defined processes
- Design an overall plan of action based on end-user feedback and improve course content and delivery
Stakeholder Responsibilities
- Work closely with scientific communication teams across regions to identify publication needs and develop assigned deliverables
- Liaise with Product Managers, MSLs, and the medical department to prepare relevant and customized deliverables
