Medical Officer Job: Required Qualifications

  • An MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution
  • Valid registration with the State Medical Council / Medical Council of India
  • 1–3 years of clinical experience (freshers with strong academic records may apply)
  • Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and primary care
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Telugu/Hindi

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate diploma in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Public Health

About the Role

The Duty Medical Officer will provide clinical care, preventive health services, and contribute to research initiatives within the university community. The role emphasizes both patient care excellence and innovation in campus healthcare delivery, including AI integration.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Consultation

  • Provide outpatient consultations for acute and chronic conditions
  • Manage medical emergencies and coordinate patient referrals
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-ups
  • Maintain detailed electronic medical records

Preventive Healthcare & Wellness

  • Lead health screening programs and vaccination drives
  • Conduct educational sessions on nutrition, mental wellness, and lifestyle management
  • Monitor and manage chronic conditions among students and staff

Administrative & Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with medical protocols and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with external hospitals, specialists, and regulatory authorities
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain inventory of medications and medical supplies
