Job Description
The Optometrist Job at Reliance Retail involves dispensing and fitting accurate prescriptions for spectacles, contact lenses, and other optical aids, and fitting them. The role includes refraction, diagnosis, and customer consultation to meet individual eye care needs. Professionals are expected to give advice on lens types, frames, and styling; fit contact lenses; provide guidance on care and the use of low vision aids; and perform adjustments and repairs to spectacles.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispenses accurate prescriptions and fits spectacles, contact lenses, and optical aids
- Perform refraction and diagnosis to meet customer needs
- Provide customer consultation on lens types, frames, styling, and contact lens care
- Manage the inventory of lenses and optical products, and give input on orders
- Provide qualitative and quantitative reports on sales, stock, and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality of eye measurements and audit fitments, and dispensing techniques
- Act as an escalation point for opticians requiring higher consultation
- Welcome customers appropriately and explain Vision Express offerings
- Inform customers about the Vx-6 step Eye test available free of cost
- Ensure timely delivery and prompt after-sales service
- Escalate unresolved issues or disputes to the Store Manager when required
