Qualifications:
- Educational: Registered Medical Doctor (MD) with post-graduation.
- Experience: 4 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry or research company in a capacity such as: Regional Medical Advisor & Head Office Medical Advisor
Key Responsibilities:
External Engagements
- Core scientific member of cross-functional franchise team responsible for scientific enablement of Sun pharma’s Cardio-vascular-Metabolic portfolio.
- Primary scientific face of the organization to ‘Thought Leaders’ & physicians.
- Responsible for identification, mapping and profiling of thought leaders of given geography and therapy area on an ongoing basis.
- Engagement of identified key thought leaders through medical affairs activities, in alignment with the overall strategic plan.
- Responsible for execution of strategic medical affairs plan including but not limited to medical education, product education, medical evidence generation, advisory boards, pre-license activities and special projects.
- Deliver scientific presentations and conduct discussions with HCPs to provide accurate and balanced information about company products.
- Monitor and report on emerging clinical and scientific trends in respective therapy area.
- A medical and scientific expert responsible for discussing scientific data pertaining to products, patients’ treatment trends and studies in the therapeutic areas in which the company is involved.
- Interaction and engagement of identified Key Opinion leaders in a peer-to-peer capacity through medical affairs activities to shape disease areas of interest.
- Ability to convert insights on disease trends and treatment patterns from KOLs into viable solutions to shape therapeutic areas.
Internal Engagements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and regulatory to support organizational requirements.
- Responsible for devising optimal training plans to ensure flow of latest medical developments to sales and marketing teams.
- Jointly responsible with marketing teams to support optimal patient outcomes through communication of data, information, and insights.
- Represent the organization in internal and external scientific platforms.
- Receive and process scientific information requests from physicians and internal stakeholders.
- Handle complex questions from healthcare professionals related to company products or disease areas.
- Ensure all promotional materials are approved within stipulated timelines and in alignment with company approval processes.
- Conduct robust medical evaluation of new products through desk research and interactions with KOLs.
