Job Description
At Bayer, this medical affairs job focuses on providing global medical and scientific expertise for the assigned product portfolio. Qualifications
Required
- Medical qualification (MD, D.O., M.B.B.S)
- Experience in medical device development, especially in nuclear medicine or molecular imaging
- Knowledge of FDA, EU, and ICH guidelines for medical devices and SaMD
- Experience supporting brand plans, marketing campaigns, or related content
- Ability to develop studies and evidence-generation plans
- Strong collaboration skills to align business strategies globally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in an agile and fast-growing environment
- Willingness to travel internationally for meetings and congresses
- Strong medical writing and safety data analysis skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Preferred
- Clinical experience
- 2–3+ years of experience in medical device development
- Knowledge of imaging software and related processes
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidates existing medical-scientific expertise and activities between global product experts
- Co-develops and aligns global medical strategy for relevant brands
- Provides deep expertise in molecular imaging and nuclear medicine, including imaging systems, tracers, medications, and delivery systems
- Identifies evidence gaps, plans publications, and develops opinion leaders
- Enhances communication and alignment across global, regional, and country teams
- Acts as medical lead for device development projects and studies
- Collaborates with marketing to co-develop integrated brand strategies
- Supports lifecycle management and license-to-market processes
- Co-leads risk assessments and provides health risk assessments (HRA)
- Contributes to global communication strategies and campaigns
- Supports global projects and adapts product strategies to industry trends
- Participates in congress strategy and global standards development
