Job Description
This physician job is designed for Resident Physicians who are eager to develop their clinical expertise under structured guidance. The Resident Physician works closely with the Residency Program Director and attending physicians to gain hands-on experience and progress toward becoming a board-certified professional.

Qualifications
Required
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Completion of Residency
- BC/BE as per Bayhealth Medical Staff Bylaws
- Valid Physician Training License or DO/MD License
- Must meet credentialing requirements set by Bayhealth
Preferred
- Additional relevant clinical experience is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patient’s medical, physical, and psychosocial status
- Conduct history taking and physical examinations
- Develop assessment and treatment plans
- Participate in clinical rounds
- Record and maintain accurate progress notes
- Order tests, medications, and therapies
- Arrange patient discharge and aftercare
- Write and dictate admission notes, procedure notes, and discharge summaries
- Provide patient education and counseling on health conditions and treatment plans
- Perform medical procedures and assist in surgeries
- Attend seminars and training sessions as part of residency
- Complete all responsibilities as per ACGME and medical staff requirements
