Job Description:
The Senior Consultant will work under the Principal Investigator, Additional Professor Dr. Akhilesh, in the Department of Psychiatry. The role involves overseeing the operations of the Tele MANAS cell, providing specialist audio/video consultations, and developing training modules for effective service delivery. Candidates with clinical and research experience in telemedicine are highly desirable, as they will be responsible for conducting high-quality scientific research in tele mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall functioning of the Tele MANAS cell.
- Provide specialist audio/video consultations to patients.
- Assist persons with mental illness (PWMI) and other users of Tele MANAS.
- Develop curated modules and manuals for service delivery.
- Supervise the Mental Health Professionals (MHPS) and lay counsellors.
- Conduct training and evaluation sessions in the Government Research Jobs.
- Prepare monthly reports and handle conflict resolution.
- Liaise with the apex institute and government for effective service delivery.
Eligibility Criteria for the PGIMER Recruitment:
- A postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry (e.g., MD or equivalent).
- Three years of experience in a recognized institution in Psychiatry after obtaining the qualifying degree.
- Desirable: Experience in telemedicine and/or tele-training.
- Indexed scientific publications are a plus.
Required Skills:
- Strong clinical and research skills in Psychiatry.
- Experience in telemedicine practices.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary research teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in managing and training staff.
