In this AstraZeneca Data Manager role, the Associate Director Study Data Manager will lead clinical data delivery, ensuring the integrity and readiness of pivotal trials. This role involves aligning vendors, standards, and systems to deliver complete, inspection-ready datasets that inform critical decisions and regulatory submissions. The successful candidate will influence data capture, cleaning, and curation processes across multiple indications, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end accountability for Clinical Data Management deliverables on assigned studies.
- Act as primary point of contact for the DM vendor, guiding and supervising the Lead Data Manager/DM Team Lead.
- Provide expert oversight of day-to-day data operations, ensuring proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Contribute to corporate, therapeutic, and program-level data capture standards.
- Lead DM inspection preparation at the study level and ensure compliance with Trial Master File requirements.
- Provide input to the selection and use of software systems and vendors.
- Maintain awareness of internal and external trends and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Mentor junior Clinical Data Management colleagues to strengthen delivery across studies.
AstraZeneca Data Manager Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate or post-graduate in nursing or related fields.
- Solid knowledge of Clinical Data Management with experience in the Biotech/Pharma/CRO industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP).
- Strong Project Management and Lead DM experience.
- Effective collaboration with external partners.
- Experience with clinical data repositories and electronic data capture (EDC).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Required Skills:
- Proven grasp of the clinical and pharmaceutical drug development process.
- Understanding of database structures, programming languages, and data standards (CDISC).
- Experience in system build, development, and validation related to clinical information.
- Professionalism, diplomacy, and the ability to manage diversity.
- Experience within Sponsor organization and Regulatory inspections.
