Mission Statement:

This is a Medical Officer role which will be based in the Mysore location. This role will support the occupational health, HSE team, and location management in conducting health and well-being programs.

Your Responsibilities as a Medical Officer:

As a Medical Officer at Hitachi, your responsibilities will include:

• Management of Occupational Health Center (OHC) independently.
• Providing comprehensive healthcare & clinical services to all employees of the company.
• Taking responsibility for and managing occupational health centers, including staffing, vendor management, documentation, and ambulance management.
• Management of hospitalized cases, including maintaining a good network with hospitals and doctors.
• Knowledge of the Factories Act and Risk assessments.
• Adhering to all statutory, legal, and audit compliances.
• Management of incidents related to employee health.
• Conducting pre-employment and periodic health checks, providing health-related training, etc.
• Disease outbreak management, including providing consultation and managing hospitalization.
• Conducting vaccination drives and other health initiatives as directed.
• Implementing all medical services and activities advised by the Country Occupational Health Advisor, in alignment with company policy.
• Maintaining ethical standards and demonstrating a high level of integrity.
• Being well-versed with Ergonomics and Industrial hygiene assessment.

Your Background as a Medical Officer:

• MBBS degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience, preferably in big corporates & manufacturing industries.
• AFIH / DIH certification is mandatory.
• Fluent in the local language.
• Good at written and verbal communication.
• Good at computer skills – MS Office proficiency.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
