Medical Advisor Job Qualification:
Educational Requirements
- MBBS with MD Pharmacology/Medicine, or a full-time postgraduate qualification in any medical discipline.
Work Experience
- 2–4 years in the pharmaceutical industry or a research organization in a medical advisor or equivalent role.
Role:
The Medical Advisor will act as the scientific backbone for the Therapeutic Area (TA), conceptualising and executing medical affairs strategies across medical education, research, publications, and expert engagement. The role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring medical accuracy, scientific leadership, and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a core scientific expert within the cross-functional franchise team.
- Provide scientific insights and strategic direction for TA-based medical initiatives.
- Plan and lead medical activities, including research, publications, advisory boards, CME programs, and patient support initiatives.
- Engage with key thought leaders and specialists through scientific discussions and medical affairs programs.
- Ensure optimal execution of regional medical affairs plans, including medical education and product training.
- Provide scientific updates and ongoing training to sales and marketing teams.
- Interpret medical data, monitor scientific developments, and support compliant medical communication.
