Project Overview
Study Title: Blood pressure analytical research
The Cardiovascular Research Team at The George Institute leads evidence synthesis and blood-pressure–related analytical research. This project is funded by The George Institute, Australia.
As a Research Intern, your primary contribution will be to support the LLD database—a collection of RCTs involving lipid-lowering drugs. This hybrid job will be largely desk-based, involving literature screening, data extraction, and organising trial information.
Research Intern Qualification + Skills & competencies:
- Fresh graduates of Medicine or any related fields.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data and preparing research reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high proficiency in English and the ability to work well autonomously.
- Excellent skills in MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Excellent teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing organizational priorities and ambiguous environments.
- Strong focus on producing high-quality work and ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs.
Role Overview:
- Support evidence synthesis activities by screening studies and extracting data from RCTs.
- Collect and manage research data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.
- Coordinate and participate in research team meetings and activities.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project milestones are met.
