Responsibilities Include

  • Admissions, to include H&Ps
  • Participate in Discharge Planning
  • Round daily on the inpatient unit
  • Document promptly and properly
  • Attend to minor, acute complaints
  • Consult with referring physicians to manage chronic conditions (e.g., IDDM)
  • Order transfers when indicated
  • Participate in call rotation

Qualifications

  • Unencumbered Arizona medical license (MD or DO)
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in a Primary Care discipline (FM, IM, EM, etc.)
  • Hospitalist or Critical Care experience is preferred, along with comfort in an outpatient setting
  • DEA privileges
  • Collaborative personality, as interacting with other physicians and other disciplines is necessary
