Responsibilities Include
- Admissions, to include H&Ps
- Participate in Discharge Planning
- Round daily on the inpatient unit
- Document promptly and properly
- Attend to minor, acute complaints
- Consult with referring physicians to manage chronic conditions (e.g., IDDM)
- Order transfers when indicated
- Participate in call rotation
Qualifications
- Unencumbered Arizona medical license (MD or DO)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in a Primary Care discipline (FM, IM, EM, etc.)
- Hospitalist or Critical Care experience is preferred, along with comfort in an outpatient setting
- DEA privileges
- Collaborative personality, as interacting with other physicians and other disciplines is necessary
