BDS Job Description:
Under this ICMR recruitment, the Consultant (Scientific – Medical) will contribute to medical imaging workflows, digital and computational pathology projects, AI validation studies, governance frameworks, and scientific documentation. This role bridges clinical expertise and advanced health data science, making it one of the most specialized medical jobs in Delhi.
BDS Job – Key Responsibilities:
- Manage whole-slide image (WSI) workflows for histopathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology
- Perform case triage, scan quality control, de-identification, and archival
- Annotate diagnostic regions using tools such as QuPath, ASAP, Aperio, ImageJ
- Capture microscopy images following SOPs with correct metadata and scale bars
- Define image labeling schemas and maintain versioned datasets
- Lead digital pathology and AI-based projects with IIT and technical partners
- Support algorithm training, validation, testing, and error analysis
- Prepare systematic reviews, manuscripts, study protocols, and grant applications
Domain Expertise Required:
- Hematopathology (preferred)
- Oncopathology
- Minimum 2 years of pathology reporting experience post-qualification
Competencies Required:
- Expertise in digital health and AI applications in healthcare
- Strong analytical skills and experience in algorithm assessment and validation
- Proven scientific writing and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary research projects across academia and industry
