Job Description:
The Medical Safety Assessments and ESP Engagement Manager will oversee day-to-day MSA & EE operations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of safety and operational activities. The role involves driving compliance and inspection readiness, supporting pharmacovigilance regulations and quality standards, leading strategic initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, identifying operational risks, and implementing corrective actions. The position also involves supporting safety deliverables, continuous process improvement, and pharmacovigilance audits and inspections while collaborating with global cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day MSA & EE operations.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned safety and operational activities.
- Drive compliance, inspection readiness, and adherence to global pharmacovigilance regulations.
- Support quality standards and internal procedures.
- Act as deputy for Group Leads when required.
- Participate in governance, MRQC arbitration, decision-making, and operational oversight.
- Lead strategic initiatives and ensure deliverables, timelines, quality outcomes, and risk mitigation.
- Support safety deliverables for PVA 3 and PVA 4 compounds.
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify operational risks and issues.
- Conduct effectiveness checks and implement corrective actions.
- Support pharmacovigilance audits and inspections.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during inspection and audit activities.
Eligibility Criteria for this Corporate Medical Job:
- Advanced degree in Healthcare/Life Sciences preferred (MD, MBBS, PharmD, PhD) with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Drug Safety, Pharmacovigilance (PV) Operations, and/or Project Management.
- Strong expertise in drug safety processes, including procedural documentation, workflow design, and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with large cross-functional teams in complex, global initiatives.
- Results-oriented professional with a proactive, accountable, and quality-focused approach, capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, planning, organisational, and computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
