Role Overview
The senior resident will manage postoperative and high-dependency patients, assist with major GI and HPB surgeries, participate in liver transplant cases, and contribute to academic and departmental activities. The position is designed to provide extensive exposure in advanced GI surgical care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in performing major GI, HPB, and liver transplant surgeries
- Manage inpatient, ICU, and postoperative care
- Participate in emergency on-call duties and acute care surgeries
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case records
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for patient management
- Engage in academic activities, case discussions, and departmental meetings
- Support research initiatives and clinical data maintenance
