TMC Careers: Fellowship Overview
The Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Dental Oncology is designed to provide advanced training and extensive hands-on experience in managing patients with complex oral and maxillofacial defects, particularly those related to head and neck oncology.
Fellows will work closely with a multidisciplinary oncology team, gaining expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical assistance, prosthetic rehabilitation, research, and academic activities.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
- MDS in Prosthodontics from a dental college recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
Experience:
- Demonstrated interest in maxillofacial prosthodontics and/or dental oncology
- Experience in treating Head & Neck cancer patients is desirable
TMC Careers: Job Description & Responsibilities
1. Patient Care (OPD)
- Examine and manage patients in the Outpatient Department
- Perform general dentistry as required
- Provide pre- and post-oncology dental care
- Fabricate maxillofacial prostheses, including obturators, speech aids, craniofacial prostheses, and implant-supported prostheses
- Perform dental implant placement and prosthetic rehabilitation
2. Inpatient Care
- Attend to admitted oncology patients referred to the Dental Oncology department
- Coordinate and manage dental treatment plans for hospitalized oncology patients
3. Surgical & Operative Dentistry
- Conduct dental procedures in the operating theatre for oncology-related cases
- Collaborate with surgical teams for comprehensive patient management
4. Academic Activities
- Present case reports and journal clubs
- Participate in departmental meetings
- Attend seminars and conferences to stay updated with advancements in the field
5. Research & Publications
- Undertake a research project during the fellowship
- Publication of at least one article in a peer-reviewed journal is desirable before completion
6. Team Collaboration
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists, and rehabilitation specialists
- Participate in case discussions and treatment planning meetings
