About the Department – Clinical Hematology
The Department of Clinical Hematology specializes in managing hematological disorders and malignancies, supported by advanced laboratory sciences capable of performing investigations ranging from routine diagnostics to sophisticated molecular testing.
The center is FACT-JACIE accredited, ensuring compliance with the highest international standards across donor management, cell processing, storage, transplantation, and follow-up care. Recently, the department has also initiated CAR-T cell therapy for B-cell malignancies and multiple myeloma.
Fellowship Opportunity Objectives
- Advanced clinical training in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, including CAR-T therapy
- Understanding patient selection, indications, and procedures for BMT
- Exposure to novel therapies such as monoclonal antibodies, BiTEs, CAR-T cells, and transplant sequencing
- Participation in clinical research and drug trials
- Learning the operational and managerial aspects of running a transplant unit
- Hands-on inpatient and outpatient adult hematology care
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification (Any one):
- DrNB / DM in Clinical Hematology
- DrNB / DM in Medical Oncology
Clinical Responsibilities
- Primary management of stem cell transplant and cellular therapy services
- Supervisory role in inpatient and outpatient adult hematology services
- Day-to-day clinical decision-making under faculty guidance
