Qualifications
- Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., MD with extensive clinical experience may be considered)
- 0-2 years of experience ina clinical or commercial setting
- Thorough understanding of the healthcare system landscape
- Established networks and clinical experience within the Therapeutic Area (TA) focus
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent project management ability
- Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment
- Ability to travel 50-70% (percentage varies with geography)
Desirable Requirements
- Established experience delivering quality improvement initiatives
- 2+ years’ experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry
- Established track record of basic or clinical research
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical and scientific support for Cardiorenal marketed products, new indications, and compounds in development.
- Engage in scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Decision Makers (KDMs), and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Develop peer-level relationships aligned with Medical Affairs and Therapeutic Brand Team objectives.
- Identify pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators supporting Clinical Development initiatives.
- Uncover barriers to optimal disease management and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
- Deliver focused and balanced clinical and scientific information to support appropriate product use.
- Provide regional and national data presentations and clinical support.
- Demonstrate leadership and project management within field medical teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Sustain expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape.
- Travel 50–70% as required by geography.
