Job Description:
ACKO is seeking a customer-centric healthcare professional for its Sr Associate / Specialist – Health Underwriting position. The role manages the end-to-end pre-policy underwriting journey, including conducting Tele-Medical Evaluations (Tele-MER), obtaining accurate medical disclosures, coordinating medical requirements and communicating underwriting outcomes to customers. Candidates selected for these Health Underwriting Jobs will collaborate with underwriting, operations, CMU and Pre-Sales teams to enable accurate and timely policy decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Tele-MER calls and capture accurate medical disclosures.
- Manage assigned cases from allocation through underwriting decision or reproposal closure.
- Explain Add Info, PPMC and reproposal outcomes to customers.
- Coordinate PPMC scheduling and laboratory availability.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups for Tele-MER, Add Info, PPMC and callbacks.
- Maintain real-time updates in underwriting systems and productivity trackers.
- Collaborate with CMU, Operations and Pre-Sales teams.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards and audit requirements.
- Support accurate and timely pre-policy underwriting decisions.
- Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the underwriting journey.
Eligibility Criteria for this Health Underwriting Job:
