Job Description
This healthcare job as Senior Associate/Principal, GMQO involves supporting the development and implementation of strategies for quality systems aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities
Implement and Manage Quality Systems
- Contribute to area-specific procedures, tools, resource documents, and supplemental materials, including review and content approval (as assigned) of quality system documents.
- Ensure regional and affiliate quality system requirements have clear accountabilities.
- Recommend new or updated quality system documents where applicable.
- Advise on training, documentation, and implementation.
- Provide consultation on external requirements, standards, and procedures.
- Manage deviations, change controls, and Notification to Management (NTM).
- Support root cause analysis and CAPA activities.
- Provide input into risk assessments, audit planning, and quality plans.
- Complete self-inspections and drive meaningful improvements.
- Support external party management activities, as assigned.
Quality Oversight – Global Patient Safety
- Monitor compliance with quality system documents and proactively propose solutions.
- Communicate and escalate issues to management.
- Ensure implementation of regional or affiliate Quality Plans and monitor progress.
- Provide updates to quality and business owners.
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and process simplifications.
- Review metrics and trending to improve processes and compliance.
- Analyze gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor completion of deviations, change controls, CAPA, and audit responses.
Audits and Inspections
- Support audit and inspection readiness, preparation, and coordination.
- Ensure the availability and organization of required documents.
- Complete audit corrective action plans on time.
- Lead or support readiness activities with business partners.
Partnership & IT Quality Support
- Serve as the initial point of consultation for Global Patient Safety on quality questions.
- Partner with business areas to strengthen quality controls.
- Share best practices and lessons learned.
- Support issue resolution and escalation.
- Utilize a risk-based approach in guiding business areas.
- Support key projects as assigned.
- Understand EU QPPV roles and responsibilities if applicable.
- Serve as IT systems business quality assurance (BQA) representative.
- Review and approve IT system documents as MQO representative.
- Partner with IT and business on system initiatives and changes.
