About the ICMR

ICMR Call for Proposal Description
NISCHAYAK ANVESHAN Intermediate Extramural Grants invites Investigator-Initiated Research Proposals from regular faculty and researchers in Indian medical and research institutes, universities, colleges, R&D labs, government/semi-government organisations, and DSIR-recognised NGOs. Under the ICMR Extramural Grants framework, research proposals aligned with the 4Ds of research will be prioritised, with focus on communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, reproductive, maternal & child health, and other national health priorities. Cross-cutting themes include vaccines, diagnostics, therapeutics, AMR, climate change & health, ageing, disability, nursing, and medical education. Researchers are encouraged to apply through this ICMR Call for Proposal and contribute to strengthening India’s health research ecosystem.
