Job Posting – Head Medical Affairs
Location – Venus Remedies Limited · India (Remote)
As the Head of Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all medical affairs activities within Venus Remedies Limited. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be pivotal in shaping and executing the medical strategy to support the organization’s products and ensure their safe and effective use. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strategic mindset, strong medical expertise, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities: Medical Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
- Provide medical insights and expertise to support the development and commercialization of new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing and sales, regulatory affairs, and commercial, to integrate medical input into product development and commercialization plans.
KOL Management and Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and academic institutions.
- Collaborate with KOLs to gather insights, seek medical advice, support medical education initiatives, and form medical advisory boards.
- Have Key opinion leaders (KOL) engagement plan for meaningful KOL interactions and KOL engagements.
- Maintain permanent relations with a network of opinion leaders, experts, and health authorities in order to maintain and reinforce the scientific position of the Group.
Medical Information and Communication For MBBS and MD job:
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical information is provided to internal teams, external stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.
- Review and approve promotional and educational materials to ensure medical accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety:
- Oversee pharmacovigilance activities and ensure timely reporting of adverse events and safety-related information.
- Collaborate with the global safety team to ensure compliance with safety reporting requirements.
Medical Training and Education for MBBS and MD jobs:
- Develop and implement medical training programs for internal stakeholders, including sales teams and medical representatives.
- Conduct medical education programs for healthcare professionals.
- Keep the marketing department informed about medical information useful for their development plans.
- Ensure adequate medical information and customer support for healthcare professionals in the daily usage of our brands.
- Provide medical and product training for medical representatives and medical information for healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Experience for MBBS and MD job:
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) with a specialization in a relevant therapeutic area. Additional post-graduate qualifications or certifications are desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in medical affairs leadership within the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian pharmaceutical regulations, medical practices, and healthcare systems.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution of medical affairs initiatives.
- Understanding of pharmacovigilance and drug safety requirements.
- Knowledge of clinical trial design and execution is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and any additional regional languages is a plus.
