Job Description:
The Research Investigator will work closely with a team of pathologists and scientists to support translational pathology and immunohistochemistry workflows. This role is focused on clinical pathology support, assay development, and collaboration with research teams and hospital networks. This MBBS job is suitable for candidates interested in research jobs within pathology, oncology, and biomarker discovery programs.
Qualifications:
- MBBS
- MD/DNB Pathology
- Relevant experience in histopathology/IHC, working in research settings, academia, and corporate (Hospitals/Pharma)
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Hands-on experience in pathology/IHC working in the hospital or corporate (pharma/technology) setting.
- Hands-on experience/basic knowledge of IHC is required.
- Knowledge of Digital pathology is desired.
- Experience in oncology and/or other therapeutic areas along with handling clinical samples, and clinical programs is essential.
- Experience of working in a regulated laboratory setting (CAP/NABL or other GxP environment) is good to have.
Behavioral Skills:
- Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments.
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in a team of pathologists, provide Clinical Pathology support to programs/projects at BBRC in close collaboration with the BMS pathology team.
- Responsible for the development of IHC/ISH assay development, qualification/validation and sample analysis.
- Works in close collaboration with the scientist/pathologists onsite to support translational pathology and immunohistochemistry workflows.
- Support ongoing translational R&D projects in collaboration with the hospital network.
- Undergo self-training and support the digital pathology workflow under the supervision of senior pathologists.
- Actively participate in SOP preparation and maintenance, also support, and periodically review Inventory management.
