MD Job Description

Qualifications / Requirements
- Experienced Medical Writer (1–2 years) with a scientific background and degree (MD)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or within multiple teams, including remote collaboration
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Experience in CRM, Respiratory, Inflammation, Immunology, or Oncology therapeutic areas is advantageous
Key Responsibilities of MD Job
- Cross-check scientific information against cited references and ensure medical accuracy (fact check); ensure consistency with product label where applicable; and verify presence of essential information
- Correct interpretation of scientific data from reference/sources, alignment/formatting of content as per style guides/journal guidelines/congress guidelines
- Ensure consistency of scientific content across sections such as text, figures, and tables
- Maintain accurate bibliography/in-text citations and ensure alignment of figures/graphs as per branding guidelines
- Confirm that every sentence is source-annotated and each annotation matches its respective reference
- Ensure information is presented neutrally, free from interpretations or the author’s conclusions
- Track work and communicate with client teams via email or teleconferencing
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders and assist in resolving partially accepted or rejected comments
- Attend training programs and complete assignments as required
- Adhere to quality, confidentiality, security compliance, and timelines
