This MD job is designed for an office-based medical leader who can contribute individually as well as lead a team within a given therapy area. The role focuses on ensuring the business unit goals are achieved through strong medical leadership and strategic direction. The candidate will embed a deep understanding of healthcare system practices, clinical priorities, and patient pathways to translate insights into actionable strategies within local medical plans. These strategies focus on evidence generation, clinical practice transformation, improved treatment outcomes, and expanded patient access to quality care. - Mentor junior Medical Affairs colleagues and support their career development.
Medical Governance Oversight
- Ensure therapy area product materials remain accurate and up-to-date.
- Advise marketing teams to ensure scientific and medical accuracy in promotional materials.
- Ensure branding and promotional activities comply with AstraZeneca standards and external regulations.
- Maintain governance and compliance related to clinical trials, promotional activities, pharmacovigilance, and patient safety.
