Job Description
This gleneagles hospitals job is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru for a Nuclear Medicine Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for performing and supervising diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, interpreting imaging studies, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols for radioactive materials. Key tasks include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, guiding radiation technologists, and contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives within the department. The role also involves staying updated on advancements in nuclear medicine to optimize patient care outcomes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Nuclear Medicine procedures, including imaging studies, therapeutic interventions, and use of PET/CT and SPECT imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles, dosimetry, and handling of radioactive materials
- Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills for interpreting imaging studies and consulting with other medical professionals
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Nuclear Medicine, or equivalent qualification, and relevant certifications
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Interpret imaging studies including PET/CT and SPECT systems
