Job Description

This MD Pharmacology job involves leading early clinical development and Controlled Human Infection Model units. The candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting first-in-human studies, dose-escalation trials, and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic assessments.

The role includes overseeing safety monitoring, regulatory submissions, protocol development, and ensuring high-quality research standards. The selected candidate will also manage clinical facilities, supervise study teams, and guide strategic collaborations with sponsors and regulatory authorities. Qualifications

Essential

  • M.D. in Pharmacology from an MCI-recognized university
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in clinical pharmacology
  • Valid medical registration certificate

Desirable

  • Experience in health volunteer studies
  • D.M. in Clinical Pharmacology

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical pharmacology

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for early clinical development programs
  • Manage and oversee Early Clinical Development and Controlled Human Infection Model facilities
  • Design and conduct first-in-human and dose-escalation studies
  • Interpret safety and PK/PD (Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics) data
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies
  • Oversee safety monitoring and adverse event management
  • Lead protocol development and IND regulatory submissions
  • Supervise and train clinical research teams
  • Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Guide business teams in presenting research capabilities to sponsors
