Qualifications
Essential
- Scientific and or a master’s degree in a scientific discipline
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate using multiple engagement channels
- Excellent project management and presentation skills
- High-level analytical and conceptual thinking
Desirable
- Doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D)
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical research

Job Description
This Medical Advisor Job involves field-based scientific experts in assigned therapeutic areas who are responsible for executing Medical Affairs Plans for pre-launch and/or newly launched products. Within AstraZeneca Careers, this role shapes clinical practice through scientific engagements, partnerships, and collaborations with traditional and non-traditional healthcare stakeholders to ensure safe and effective use of AstraZeneca medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Engages in clinical and scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals, consistent with medical objectives.
- Scientific Expertise: Maintain clinical/scientific expertise, contribute to the development and provide leadership in the Field Medical Strategic Plan, and act as a subject matter expert/resource.
- Scientific Exchange: Engage in dialogue with key customers, respond to inquiries, provide scientific/clinical support, and organize scientific events.
- Customer Insight: Identify and report new knowledge, provide actionable items based on customer perspectives, and identify gaps in patient experience.
- Strategic Relationship: Develop relationships with medical and scientific experts, support data generation activities, and establish partnerships to address healthcare access gaps.
- Other: Leverage digital innovations for scientific exchange, understand pharmacovigilance and GxP principles, and adhere to ethical standards.
