Job Description:
This medical advisor job focuses on providing scientific and medical expertise within the Rare Diseases therapeutic area. Qualifications:
- Secondary / advanced scientific degree (DO, MD)
- Professional, clinical or research experience in a scientific or related field required
- Previous related pharmaceutical experience
- Previous medical field experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as scientific & medical expert to form partnership internally and externally.
- Interact with Healthcare Practitioners (HCP) when needed in coordination and in alignment with Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS).
- Hold the Primary Point of Contact role in specified cases, primarily at pre-launch phase of the product lifecycle for non-promotional activities.
- Independently handle core medical matters, such as medical and scientific information, pipeline, research/study, early access and sponsorship of congress attendance related inquiries, or the management of PSPs. Information outside or prior to marketing authorization, may only be shared within the limits of the applicable laws, codes and policies, in particular the Standard on Medical Activities.
- Run selected in-field visits mainly to key thought leaders (KTLs).
- Support clinical trial activities in alignment with Clinical Operations/ICSO.
- Add remote/virtual engagement to F2F (hybrid by design, incl. approved email, video calls, etc.).
