Job Description:
This Medical Advisor Job is based in Mumbai within Sun Pharma’s Medical Affairs & Clinical Research business unit. The Medical Advisor will serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional franchise team and function as a disease-area expert. The role involves scientific enablement of the respective business cluster alongside conceptualization and project management of medical activities aligned with franchise strategy, including new product evaluation, launch preparation and scientific engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Core scientific member of the cross-functional franchise team and a disease area expert, responsible for scientific enablement of respective business cluster.
- Conceptualization and project management of a wide range of medical activities aligned to the franchise strategy, including new product ideation and evaluation.
- Preparation of SEC presentations and defense in SEC meetings.
- Pre-launch and launch preparations including product monographs and training materials.
- Interaction and engagement with identified Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through medical affairs activities.
- Responsible for discussing scientific data pertaining to products and obtaining insights into treatment trends.
- Conduct robust medical evaluations of new products through thorough desk research and interactions with KOLs.
- Collaborate with thought leaders to conduct therapy-specific reviews and publish findings in reputable journals.
Eligibility Criteria for this Medical Advisor Job:
- Educational Qualification: MD (Pharmacology)
- Experience: At least 6 months of work experience in Medical Affairs or in a pharmaceutical industry capacity as a Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor.
- Training in medical writing, clinical trial methodologies, and research design is an added advantage.
- Strong academic record with deep knowledge of the therapeutic area and research methodologies.
- Must have working knowledge of Indian regulations pertaining to healthcare professionals’ interactions.
