Job Description:
This role as an individual contributor will ensure effective and up-to-date communication of scientific data through external engagements, enabling healthcare professionals and health decision makers to bring relevant healthcare solutions to their patients. The Medical Affairs Manager will bring medical and technical expertise to relevant brand teams and other internal business partners of 3 business units (Prescription, Consumer, and Aesthetics), with a specific focus on Prescription and Consumer business.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Medical Degree with a minimum of 5 years of Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery, R&D, commercialization, promotion, and regulations
- Knowledge of the Dermatology therapy area is preferred
- Knowledge of the drug, device, and cosmetic discovery, development, and commercialization process
- Experience with risk management and HCP compliance preferred
- Experience in the development and implementation of clinical trials
- Experience in data analysis, interpretation, and clinical relevance
- Experience in writing clinical publications and scientific presentations
- Relationships with external KOLs and thought leaders
Key Responsibilities:
Management of Medical Plans
- Implement country medical strategy and plans in line with the regional/global medical strategy.
- Partner with the country commercial team to develop and implement medicomarketing plans.
- Provide proactive input and reactive support to R&D development strategy and projects.
- Maintain and monitor the medical plan, reporting, and budget expenditures.
Review & Approval of Materials
- Manage the integrity and accuracy of scientific and medical data communication.
- Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials.
- Contribute to claims’ development strategies.
Evidence Generation and Data Dissemination
- Responsible for local clinical evidence generation strategy.
- Manage investigator-initiated studies (IIT).
- Support facilitation of Phase III & Phase IV trials, including oversight of CRO.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on medical and scientific data.
Medical Education and Scientific Engagements
- Lead and organize scientific engagements and advisory boards.
- Support product launches and key scientific meetings.
- Maintain relationships with research physicians and evaluate literature.
KOL and Medical Society Engagement
- Develop the KOL and Medical Societies Management Program.
- Interact with KOLs and healthcare decision makers.
- Engage in scientific exchange to obtain input on the disease landscape and evidence gaps.
- Track treatment guidelines and conduct peer-to-peer discussions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with academic centers and centers of excellence.
