Qualifications
- Medical/scientific degree and at least 3 years of experience in the pharmacovigilance environment
- Ideally, experience in the literature safety surveillance process and in ICSR Reconciliation
- Sound understanding of regulations relevant to the safety of drugs in development and post-authorization
- Ideally, ICSR Case processing experience in the ArisG safety Database environment
- Good communication skills and experience in an international environment, supporting collaboration across the global teams
Job Description
This medical job is part of the Global Patient Safety ICSR Management team at the R&D Excellence Center, Bangalore. The role supports literature surveillance and reconciliation processes and plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality safety data within global pharmacovigilance operations at Merck.
Key Responsibilities
- To support the business process owner for the literature surveillance process
- To support training documentation and user access management in the literature surveillance database and reconciliation management database
- Operational management activities in the literature surveillance database, such as reconciliation, QC of non-ICSR literature, or the upload of articles
- Perform ICSR reconciliation, quality monitoring, and spot check of safety information with the relevant functions
- Handles the team mailboxes and ensures that all the mails received are actioned on time
