Job Description:
This medical job involves supporting medical information and communication activities through scientific literature review and content development. The Scientific Specialist will conduct structured literature searches and develop scientifically accurate responses for internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and caregivers. The role requires collaboration across teams while ensuring adherence to quality standards, documentation processes, timelines, and confidentiality requirements. This remote job offers flexibility while maintaining strong coordination with global teams.
Qualifications:
- Experienced Medical Writer (3–5 years) with a scientific background and degree (MD).
- At least 3 years of experience producing content as a writer, with knowledge of IT and digital solutions.
- Excellent medical writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple detailed activities with fast and focused execution.
- Good communication, coordination, and time management skills.
- Ability to work within a team or across multiple teams (including remotely) as well as independently.
- Fluent in oral and written English with high-level communication skills.
- Experience in writing and managing scientific publications (manuscripts, posters, abstracts, etc.).
- Prior experience in therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism (CRM), Respiratory, Inflammation, Immunology, or Oncology would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a literature search on PubMed and/or other subscribed databases and validate relevant inclusions.
- Create or update existing gSSRCs/FAQs based on provided templates or as per style guide.
- Respond to escalated queries from internal and external teams (HCPs, patients, caregivers).
- Liaison with internal and stakeholders.
- Responsible for following best practices regarding processes, communication (internal & external), project management, and documentation.
- Participate in assigned training programs and work on assignments as required.
- Ensure adherence to quality, timelines, confidentiality, and security compliance.
