Job Description:

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune invites online applications from Indian nationals for the post of Medical Officer – Female purely on a temporary and contractual basis. The selected candidate will provide medical services to faculty, staff, their dependent family members, and students. This medical officer job also involves managing emergency medical cases and coordinating with hospitals to ensure timely healthcare support.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • M.B.B.S degree or Equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
  • Applicant must be registered in a State / Indian Medical Register.

Desirable: Post graduate qualification, preferably M.D. in General Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

Following is expected from the incumbent:

  • Provide medical services to Faculty, Staff and their dependent family members and students.
  • Handle emergency medical cases as and when reported.
  • Provide assistance to beneficiaries in IPD / OPD treatment as and when required and liaise with hospitals.
  • As per requirements, coordinate medical services with ‘Counselors’ available on campus.
  • Promote general health awareness on campus through health outreach activities (camps, talks etc.).
  • Facilitate institute tie-ups with hospitals for medical services.
  • Coordinate medical services with the institute Medical Officer.
