Job Description
This Medical Science Liaison job is part of the Medical Affairs Group under Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. The role focuses on Hematology within the Oncology division, supporting the Western Michigan territory including Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Flint, and Kalamazoo.
The position involves scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, contributing to research discussions, and supporting clinical advancements. This MD job is ideal for candidates passionate about oncology and medical innovation.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree required (MD or equivalent)
- Postgraduate experience preferred, especially in Oncology.
- Strong scientific and therapeutic knowledge.
- Understanding of research and healthcare systems.
- Ability to travel up to 70% with a valid US driver’s license.
Preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison job.
- Residency or fellowship preferred.
- Board certification preferred for clinical degrees.
- Residence within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strategic territory plan.
- Build strong relationships with community and academic key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Engage in scientific discussions regarding treatment landscapes.
- Identify and address provider educational needs.
- Deliver relevant scientific data tailored to healthcare professionals.
- Execute Medical Affairs strategies and priorities.
- Respond to unsolicited clinical and research inquiries.
- Collect and submit actionable insights aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
- Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, Medical Affairs, and marketing.
- Maintain scientific expertise through continuous learning and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and healthcare guidelines.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary range: $115,000 – $197,000 (approx.)
