Job Description:
This medicine job as a Medical Science Liaison – Oncology plays a critical role in connecting Daiichi Sankyo with oncology healthcare providers, researchers, and key opinion leaders. As a medical science liaison, you will support the effective and safe integration of the company’s oncology portfolio into clinical practice while contributing to scientific and medical strategies across global medical job networks, including collaborations relevant to jobs in Canada.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in medicine (M.D., or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical affairs, oncology, or clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry
- Preferred experience and established professional network in lung and breast cancer
- Prior experience in a medical science liaison role is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of oncology therapeutic areas, products, clinical studies, and treatment guidelines
- Build and strengthen relationships with KOLs, academic researchers, and clinical investigators as a trusted medical science liaison
- Develop and execute external stakeholder engagement plans
- Support pre-launch and launch activities of new oncology products through scientific input
- Contribute to medical affairs initiatives, including data generation and dissemination
- Advocate for the medical value of upcoming oncology therapies through scientific discussions
- Support clinical operations and ensure the successful execution of clinical trials
- Identify research collaboration opportunities, including clinical trials and real-world evidence projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, and alliance partners
- Deliver medical education programs to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists
- Participate in medical conferences, symposia, and training activities
- Gather market insights on competitor activities, emerging trends, and unmet medical needs
- Ensure all activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards governing medical jobs
Skills Required:
- Strong ability to quickly learn, retain, and present complex scientific information
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Fluency in English; French proficiency is an advantage, especially for jobs in Canada
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix and multicultural organization
- High self-motivation with a proactive, hands-on approach
