Job Description:

Provides patient care services and maintains responsibility for medical services provided by the health care team. Examines diag­noses and prescribes the treatment for patients. Maintains responsi­bility to assure that required health services are available to patients. Supervises the care given by Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and other team members including Medical Assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved medical school with an M.D. or D.O. Degree.
  • Successful completion of an approved internship and residency.
  • Board eligible or Board Certified.
  • Current California Physician and Surgeon’s License.
  • Some positions may require eligibility for hospital privileges in participating hospitals
  • Thorough working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and contemporary general office practices and procedures.
  • Math skills sufficient to prepare routine spreadsheets, calculate/balance invoices/expense reports, and similar.
  • Basic leadership skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), electronic health record systems, and database systems.
  • Typing/data entry skills sufficient to meet production requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others.
  • Very effective oral and written communications skills including public speaking experience.
  • Effective work organization skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
  • Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
