As part of TMC careers, CCE has established the Unit for Strengthening Cause of Death Data (USCOD) to improve Medical Certification of Cause of Death (MCCD) data quality across India and the Asia-Pacific region.
Qualifications:
Eligible candidates for this project coordinator job should possess:
- MBBS / BDS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or Paramedical fields
- Master’s in Public Health (MPH) or Hospital Administration
Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in Public Health or a relevant field
Job Description:
This project coordinator’s job involves coordinating and supporting the implementation of project activities aimed at improving cause-of-death data quality. The role includes facilitating and monitoring Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) trainings while working closely with public health stakeholders under Tata Memorial Centre initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support project activities related to improving cause-of-death data quality
- Facilitate and monitor Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) trainings
- Liaise with state health departments, the Director of Census Operations, hospitals, and medical colleges for effective project rollout and advocacy
- Support capacity-building initiatives and conduct field visits to monitor training effectiveness and data quality
- Collect, compile, and report field data to the central project team at CCE in a timely manner
- Prepare periodic reports and documentation as required
- Coordinate with the central USCOD team at CCE for technical and operational guidance
