Project Summary:

The Pregnancy Risk, Infant Surveillance and Measurement Alliance (PRISMA) Consortium is a global network dedicated to producing quality data to answer key questions about maternal, fetal and child health. It encompasses a diverse portfolio of research initiatives and engages partner institutions across six countries. Our flagship cohort study aims to improve the global understanding of key risk factors for morbidity and mortality among pregnant women and mother – infant pairs during antenatal care and postnatal care up to one year. We hope to answer critical epidemiological and clinical questions with a robust dataset from over 16,000 participants in Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, India and Pakistan.

Senior Research Officer Job Summary:

The PRISMA Consortium is seeking Senior Research Officer to lead the development of peer – reviewed manuscripts from several ongoing research studies. The successful candidate will bring formal training or substantial experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical research, obstetric, Paediatrics, early childhood (neuro) development, infectious disease, environmental health, nutrition, or a closely related field; a demonstrated record as lead author on multiple first – author publications; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across international research teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Statistical analyses for key PRISMA studies, primarily using longitudinal cohort data.
  • Lead or contribute substantially to the development and submission of 3-5 peer – reviewed manuscripts annually.
  • Define Research questions and design statistical analysis plans.
  • Collaborate with investigators, study staff and partners across multi-site research activities.

Educational Requirements for the Senior Research Officer Job:

  • MD Degree or PhD Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of research or academic experience.
  • Strong record of scientific writing, with several first-author, peer – reviewed manuscripts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
