Job Description
Summary
The Associate Manager – Scientific Services plays a crucial role in developing and delivering scientifically accurate, high-quality medical communications for pharmaceutical and medical device clients. This role ensures scientific integrity, provides strategic input, and contributes to the efficiency and growth of the Scientific Services team.
Responsibilities
Scientific Content Development
- Create diverse medical communication materials, including medical information documents, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and digital content.
- Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with industry guidelines and client objectives.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data, clinical trial results, and published literature for content development.
- Review and edit scientific materials from junior team members or external contributors.
- Stay updated on therapeutic advancements, industry trends, and scientific innovations.
- Contribute to the scientific strategies and tactical plans for client projects.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and medical societies in India.
- Develop engagement plans, including advisory boards, speaker programs, and educational collaborations.
- Represent the company at medical conferences and industry events to enhance brand credibility.
- Maintain KOL databases and track engagement activities for optimized outreach.
Client Interaction
- Attend client meetings to present scientific insights, discuss strategies, and address inquiries.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and objectives.
- Serve as a key scientific point of contact for assigned projects.
Project & Process Management
- Assist in project scoping, budgeting, and timeline planning.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Account and Project Management.
- Contribute to process improvements, workflows, and best practices.
- Regularly track and report project status.
Strategic Contribution
- Provide scientific expertise for new business proposals and presentations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the Scientific Services department’s offerings.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive insights.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives and team meetings.
Qualifications
- Education: Medical Degree (MBBS / MD)
- Additional Certification: Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) or equivalent is a plus
- Strong scientific foundation in clinical research, drug development, and medical devices
Experience
- 6-8 years in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or related scientific fields
- Proven expertise in developing medical communication materials. Experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device clients preferred

- Medical Writing & Editing: Excellent writing and editorial skills
