Job Description
This Medical Science Liaison job at Merck involves serving as the Senior Medical Science Liaison for SpringWorks Therapeutics in Italy. The role focuses on driving operations and strategic growth within a defined territory while acting as a scientific expert to the medical community.
The position involves establishing and maintaining strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), facilitating the exchange of scientific information, and supporting clinical development and commercialization programs. This MD job also requires communicating clinical insights, supporting research initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance patient care in rare tumor treatment.
Qualifications
- Advanced Scientific degree or equivalent experience (MD).
- Minimum of 5 years MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in rare diseases, particularly Oncology/Neurosciences, preferred.
- Proficient in presenting clinical/scientific information.
- Fluent in Italian & English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and maintain relationships with KOLs across various disciplines.
- Facilitate the exchange of scientific information and provide expert opinions.
- Translate clinical insights into strategic recommendations.
- Liaise with investigators for research activities.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment in trials.
- Lead scientific discussions at congresses and advisory boards.
- Mentor new hires and less-experienced MSLs.
- Develop territory plans aligning with strategic goals.
