Qualifications
- 1–5 years of working experience as a trainer, counselor, Optometrist, or in a sales domain with a thorough understanding of managed care
- An Optometrist with experience in delivering training is preferred
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of the local language, Bengali, is desirable
- Comfortable carrying out training programs in a hybrid model, including virtual and in-person formats
- A bachelor’s degree in Optometry is mandatory
- A master’s degree or an MBA is an added advantage
Job Description
This Optometry Job role is responsible for the development of doctors, optometrists, counselors, and paramedical staff of eye hospitals through structured scientific educational training programs. The position supports procedure and product knowledge enhancement while contributing to technology adoption, customer engagement, and category growth across assigned territories under Johnson & Johnson careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures HCPs are well-equipped with knowledge of procedures and products
- Contribute to technology reach & adoption goals in this segment through training initiatives across assigned product ranges
- Ensure internal & external customer delight and help grow the assigned category
- Educate & make JJSV brands the preferred choice through training
- Build and track opportunities for internal team members
- Build in house training plan/s as per the customer’s requirement and implement it
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers with the goal of improving category outcomes by assessment, critique, and training
- Communicate and empower via direct meetings and interactions with surgeons, administrators, and key decision makers
- Augment the sales efforts in the assigned territory through training activities
