Professional Experience (Essential)
- 3–5 years of experience in scientific writing with a strong focus on promotional/commercial content
- Proven experience in label updates, content planning, and MLR-compliant communications
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and promotional codes
- Experience working with global content localization and adaptation
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to omnichannel marketing models
- Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional global teams
- Familiarity with promotional content review systems
About the Role
The Senior Associate – Scientific Writing role is part of Studio Operations and is responsible for developing and updating scientifically accurate, promotional, and medico-marketing content across multiple channels. The role requires close collaboration with medical, legal, regulatory, creative, and digital teams across India and global Novartis sites to ensure compliance with MLR guidelines, brand strategy, and the latest Prescribing Information (PI) and Important Safety Information (ISI).
Key Responsibilities
Scientific & Promotional Content Development
- Create and update scientifically accurate promotional materials including brochures, iCVAs, digital campaigns, emails, banners, websites, and social media content
- Ensure all content aligns with approved brand positioning and messaging
- Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, engaging promotional narratives
Label Updates & Compliance
- Monitor PI, ISI, and reference document updates and ensure timely implementation across all assets
- Maintain label update checklists to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Ensure strict adherence to Medical–Legal–Regulatory (MLR) guidelines
Omnichannel & Strategic Support
- Support omnichannel content planning and modular content models
- Repurpose scientific content for multiple platforms and target audiences
- Contribute to campaign planning and content strategy
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Liaise with editorial, creative, regulatory, and digital teams globally
- Mentor junior writers and provide guidance on commercial writing and compliance
- Maintain high-quality standards in a metric-driven environment
