Job Description:
RG Hospitals is inviting applications for a General Surgeon Job in its General & Laparoscopic Surgery Department. The selected Associate Consultant will independently perform routine and emergency surgeries while delivering expert care in minimally invasive procedures. This role requires strong surgical expertise, adherence to NABH protocols, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation and treatment for patients requiring Minimal Access Surgery (MAS).
- Independently perform laparoscopic procedures including cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, inguinal and ventral hernia repairs, and diagnostic laparoscopy.
- Manage routine and emergency general surgery cases.
- Diagnose and treat benign and malignant surgical disorders.
- Perform emergency surgical interventions and stabilise patients when required.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Supervise and mentor nurses, resident doctors, and OT staff.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital protocols, and patient safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance, quality control, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions for OT nurses, technicians, and resident doctors.
- Ensure safe utilisation of surgical equipment and proper biomedical waste disposal.
Educational Requirements for this General Surgeon Job:
