Job Description:
This Medical Job under ICMR recruitment is open for professionals from medical backgrounds including MBBS Job, BDS job, and research experts. Selected candidates will work with the ICMR Bioethics Unit to support research ethics initiatives, policy development, and training programs related to biomedical and public health research.

Post Details:

- Number of Vacancy: One
- Consolidated Salary: Rs.1,00,000.00 – 1,80,000 per month (The emoluments shall be fixed as per recommendation of the selection committee – Ref. ICMR OM dated 29-11-24, Para 7.4)
- Age Limit: Minimum of 40 Years and Maximum up to 70 years.
Essential Qualifications:
Medical: MBBS / BDS with 10 years of post-qualification experience OR Retired Government employee with essential requisite educational qualification and who were in the regular Pay Level-10 and above, having at least 10 years of relevant experience in the required specialization.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
- Qualifications/Training/Experience in Research Ethics or Bioethics
- Good writing/Communication skills/Editorial work/Related Publications
- Knowledge of Computer applications
- Working experience with an Ethics Committee
- Knowledge about National or International Ethical Guidelines
- Experience of conducting or working in a Clinical Trial/Biomedical Health Research/Public Health Research
Key Responsibilities:
The nature of duties includes coordinating and carrying out the activities of the ICMR Bioethics Unit which include:
- Developing ethics policy and guidance on specific areas.
- Capacity building initiatives and use of online tools and methods for bioethics training.
- Organizing and conducting national and international conferences, webinar courses, and seminars on bioethics.
- Development of bioethics course curriculum for students, researchers and ethics committees.
- Conducting surveys and research related to bioethics and dissemination of relevant information through publications.
- Collaboration with national and international institutes for research in ethics.
- Networking and communication with stakeholders in the area of ethics.
